Why are we doing this?
A better professional model for Independent Sector medical staffing
Traditional resident medical officer positions in independent sector hospitals have offered no professional development for doctors and no service improvement for hospitals. Such arrangements can be exploitative, and yet still poor value.
Lack of investment and development of core staff results in rapid turnover and deteriorating clinical services, and patient care which is not as good as it could and should be.
We believe RMOs can contribute far more to patient care in the independent sector, and benefit from training, education and management opportunities not available in many NHS training programs.
Our mission is to build a better model which works for doctors, hospitals and most importantly for patients.
